Whitney B., better known as " The Dopest Historian,” is a Houston Public Historian who is on a mission to enlighten people on how DOPE HISTORY truly is. With a natural love for history, Whitney has been working overtime to spread this not so ancient knowledge.
Since launching Dope History Month, in August 2020, she has appeared on: nationally recognized podcasts, curated a tour for organizations from out-of-state, as well as hosted events for the City of Houston. Dope, It's History is a brand that seeks to engage with the general collective on history that may have been discarded, if not told in a different light - history that everyone should know; history that makes you say, "Whaaaat? THAT'S DOPE HISTORY!!!" As an employee of the Alley Theatre and Rice University, The Dopest Historian continues to live in her passion-filled world of Dope History!

After receiving all A's Spring 2020 during the height of Covid-19. Whitney B. knew that her dream of becoming an "expert historian" was just beginning. She was on her way to graduate from Prairie View A&M University but unfortunately due to the changing climate of the world she had to change her plans when she decided to sit out Fall 2020.
Dope, Its History officially launched on Juneteenth 2020.
The term "Dope History Month" is what catapulted Dope History into the history world - discussing some of the Dopest Black history moments that happened in August every day in August on Instagram Live.
